The module has three pins: signal, supply and ground (the markings differ between makers). Its resistor keeps the signal at a steady level when the button is not pressed, so the pin never "floats".
A pressed contact bounces for a few milliseconds: read the button twice, about 20 ms apart, before you believe it.
