A starter kit is the cheapest way to try your first program and Blink on a real board. The LEDs in these kits are bare: put a 220 Ω resistor in series with each one on the breadboard, and it works like the LED module.
Contents differ a lot between sellers: many kits add sensors, a servo and a display. The list below is the minimum to look for.
